Dan Holdridge empowers the 4E team with the support and tools they need to excel in their endeavors. At 4E, each team member’s talents and skills are honored and relied upon to ensure the mutual success of all: clients, the company, the community…as well as every individual and their family.
Bringing terrific people together and accomplishing great things is Dan’s joy. And at the end of the day he knows 4E is achieving its mission when clients and other folks let him know the company made a positive difference in their lives.
Prior to joining 4E in 2002 Dan was a General Dynamics program manager at the U.S. Pentagon. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and his Executive Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of New Haven. Dan serves on the executive board of the New London County 4-H Foundation, and is a member of the Rotary Club of The Stoningtons and the Knights of Columbus, Mystic Council #1943.
Dan’s first book, Pentagon Prayer, was released September 11, 2010.
JIM HOLDRIDGE, JR.

A considerate leader, Jim Holdridge, Jr. ensures 4E’s many loyal clients receive first class customer service: clear communication, cost-saving solutions and on-time project delivery – at or below budget. And as head of 4E’s safety training program, Jim takes team members’ and clients’ physical wellbeing to heart.
Jim also takes clients under wing from start to finish, guiding them through the design and build process and ensuring successful on-site project implementation. His twenty-plus years of electrical operations experience, and extensive printing press and facility maintenance experience serve him well in his project manager role, and clients appreciate the seamless, efficient progress and attention.
When not at work, Jim likes giving back to his community, serving on the New London County 4-H Foundation board of directors and as a member of the Knights of Columbus.
JIM HOLDRIDGE, SR.
Director of Electrical Operations
From the beginning company founder Jim Holdridge, Sr. has set the standard for reliable, respectful customer care including 4E’s utmost concern for safety and value-added service, as well as treating each client and 4E team member as “one of the family”.
Through the years Jim’s innovative thinking has helped numerous clients worldwide resolve complex efficiency and productivity challenges, as well as achieve strategic and financial success. For instance, Jim led the electrical design of Globus Printing’s zero-make-ready shaftless printing press (patent pending), an industry standard now utilized around the world. And with the 4E engineering team, Jim developed the Eagle Eye Automated Color Registration System. This state-of-the-art printing press camera system slashes paper waste and strengthens organization ROI.
A certified master electrician in Connecticut and Rhode Island, Jim is also a thirty-plus year 4-H volunteer. He serves on the New London County 4-H Foundation, is club leader in North Stonington, devotes considerable time to Connecticut’s statewide program, and is a lead volunteer for Connecticut’s 4-H Youth Dairy Program which represents the state each fall at the Eastern States Exposition.
CHIP OTT
Director of Business Development
Chip Ott believes understanding clients’ needs and wishes comes first, and working to enhance their long-term efficiency, productivity and financial health are key elements to successful business relationships.
His industrial technology degree and twenty five-plus years of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and automation experience ensures client projects run smoothly from concept to design and implementation. Chip also specializes in reducing clients’ energy consumption with on-site energy audits, utility company interface, energy rebates, and strategic, cost-saving lighting and instrument retrofits and energy management techniques.
Chip holds a US Coast Guard captain’s license and, in his free time, enjoys sailboat racing and fishing in Long Island Sound and along other favorite shores.
