ARCHERY
A certified instructor teaches safety and beginner and intermediate skills with bow and arrow.

ARTS & CRAFTS
NEW designer crafts to be made by camper, to challenge the basic to experienced arts and crafts enthusiast. Fee: $20

BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball in the sand and sun! Instruction and team contests for fun on the beach.

CANOEING & FUNYAKS
Instruction in safety and handling of canoes. Pond participation to qualified campers.

CARPENTRY
Think you have what it takes to make a masterpiece with wood working? Learn from the best as our camp staff show you how to create some magic by building a chair or hope chest  - and you can bring home the results!  Fee: $30

DISC GOLF
New program that combines your Frisbee throwing abilities with 9 holes of golf!

DOUBLE DUTCH
Jump roping at it’s finest. Learn the sport of jumping rope with two ropes! (The only Camp in CT to offer this spectacular program!)

DRAMA
A variety of creative activities which might include mime, puppetry, set making, one act plays, costume creation, and pantomime.

FISHING
Cast your camp provided fishing pole, catching a great time & a few fish along the way. You take home the fishing pole & fish stories! Fee: $20

4-H GOAT PROJECT CAMP (Bring your own)

FIRST WEEK ONLY - June 27 - July 3, 2010: 4-H Goat program for the first 12 youth registered. Week long instruction on fitting and showmanship, on-site demonstrations, workshops, along with having a fun camping experience! Must bring your own goat and have all required vet certifications for show. Be sure to note on your registration that you want to attend the 2009 New London County 4-H Camp's 4-H Goat Program! More details to follow. Note: You do not have to have a goat to participate in session one.

PERFORMING ARTS AND DANCE
Using your musical talents, work together developing a production for the weekly talent show! Also, learn the basics or advanced steps to various dance routines leading up to a production at the talent show!

MOVIE PRODUCTION
Using fun digital technology, learn how to produce a movie at the 4-H Camp for a full production!

NATURE/OUTDOOR LIVING
Awareness of everything around you… pond life, animal life, forest and field. Your adventure continues with a one night campout experience including pitching tents, cooking on an outdoor fire, learning simple first aid, and fishing.
 


NEWSPAPER
Reporting, photography, and production of the weekly camp newsletter: “The Happy Camper”.

RECREATION
Sports, indoor/outdoor games and cooperative games. Something different every day!

ROCKETRY
Beginner and advanced classes. Construction, safety, and LAUNCH! Ages 10 &up. Fee: $20

ROPES COURSE
Leadership development, individual & team challenges taught by certified instructors.

NEW HIGH ROPES COURSE ELEMENT ADDED FOR 2010!!
 

SWIMMING
A certified American Red Cross staff will follow programs and testing for fun at the 4-H pond!
 

4-H SHEEP CAMP (Bring your own)

SECOND WEEK ONLY - July 4 - 9, 2010: 4-H Sheep program for the first 12 youth registered. OTHER ACTIVITIES
